About us
Most often companies are created to develop products, but this has not been the case with Red Rhino Electrical and Structured Cabling Estimating Software. Red Rhino’s development started 25 years ago, back in 1985, as a complete cutting-edge program to run an electrical contractor business. Right from the start the software was designed for electrical estimating, purchasing, billing and project management. It was developed by a then small electrical contracting company that wanted a competitive advantage over their local competition. They succeeded in their goal. Today, Red Rhino is a sophisticated, yet easy to use, tech tool for electrical contractors and the company is a leading regional contractor.
In 1998, a national contractor organization learned of the software and approached the electrical contractor with an interest in marketing the software to their members. By 2000, Hard Hat Industry Solutions Inc. was established and Red Rhino is launched on the internet. That year, Red Rhino partnered with and became certified by Microsoft.
In 2008, Hard Hat recognizes Red Rhino’s great benefit not only to larger organizations, but also to smaller independent electrical contactors, and begins offering it for a low subscription rate. Today, hundreds of small contractor customers benefit from Red Rhino Electrical and Structured Cabling Estimating Software, trusting it to prepare their estimates, generate purchase orders and invoices, and manage their projects.
